We own a small farm in Coatesville, IN where we raised 4 daughters.   Coatesville is in Putnam County which is about halfway between Terre Haute and Indianapolis, making it centrally located and easily accessible from both I70 and Highway 40 and 36.

The Eddy-Lynn Shrimp Farm sets on approximately 30 acres and has increased to 3 ponds for the 2008 harvest.   The short 3 months that the shrimp are on the farm they are joined by year-round residents such as chickens, horses, pigs and an occasional cow or fainting goat.

Our first year as shrimp farmers was a learning experience for us and we hope to only improve each year.   We have been thrilled at the interest that this new adventure has attracted.  The time that the shrimp are here take continual care such as the feedings, water testing, and monitoring of aerator.  One of the most amazing sights is that the babies are so small when they come that you don't know if they are ok because you can't see them but if you go to the pond at dark and shine a flashlight over the water, their little eyes show up red all over the pond!  Our local newspaper recently did a story about Eddy-Lynn's Shrimp farm which we were very pleased with.   The story is a very "good read" and we recommend you take time to check it out by clicking here:

We enjoy spending time on our Harleys when we aren't "tending" the shrimp, skiing and, like most grandparents, we love spoiling the grandchildren.
